I don't know if I can call myself an artist but today apparently we need to put label on everything. I'm still an amateur on that matter. I just love PS and when I have some idea that's the place where I can express myself the most.

I started in the evening school/graphic design classes after I graduated high school for photographer. So, they taught me basics of software such as Corel, PS and InDesign. In the beginning I was more graphic designer, I had to do logos and such. When I came to dA (to share some photography) I noticed people do this thing called Photomanipulation and then I thought „Well, I can try this too.“ So I try to do something with my photos. Mostly it was just personal resources blended with textures and text.

Something like this:

I wanted more then that. After some time I found web sites like PSDtuts and PSD Box. Tutorials that I found over there pushed me forward to explore more in PS. So, influenced with artists like Andrei-Oprinca I started with little bit more advanced techniques. Thanks to great  tutorials I manage to get results like this:

Today, I'm doing some kind of surreal/dark/concept photomanipulations. I love to do rainy effects and I always spend the most time on shadows, light and blending colors. So even If I want to achieve surreal effect I still want when it's done to look kinda real. If you know what I mean. For example:

Nothing comes over night, it took me over 5 years to learn this much, and there's still so much more room to improve. I'm saying this because a lot of people asking me about it and wants to jump over some steps to get to higher or advanced level. But believe me, walking through those steps is really fun. And educational. I'm still walking, and I think that I always will. So, be patient, persistent and creative. That's all you need to do.

Have a nice day everyone!
